Local Resilience Forums have a key role for their communities in the response and recovery from emergencies. However, it is routinely the 999 services who are initially called upon to attend an emergency and initiate the first response so JESIP focussed initially on this aspect.
However, LRF’s have an important role to play because of their multi-agency nature. We hope they will start to embrace JESIP through their local emergency services and use our new Joint Organisational Learning arrangements to help make sure we are constantly learning asnd improving our response to the public.
